I am contacting you regarding a missing item from my checked baggage on a Ryanair flight and would kindly ask for your advice on how to obtain the required Baggage Report File Reference / PIR number.

Route: Alicante – Helsinki
Date: Saturday, 24 January
Scheduled departure time: 14:35
Booking reference: US**7S

Upon arrival in Helsinki, I noticed that a Garmin Edge 1030 Plus GPS cycling computer was missing from my checked baggage. The baggage itself arrived, but the device had been removed from inside the bag. I was not notified in any way that the baggage had been opened, inspected, or that any item had been removed.

Unfortunately, no PIR report was created at the airport upon arrival.

I understand that a PIR number is required to submit a baggage claim through your online form. I would therefore appreciate your guidance on:
– how I can obtain a PIR number in this situation, or
– how I should proceed with my claim if a PIR number cannot be issued
