Lost Property in the Terminal
If you lost something in the terminal—such as in the check-in area, security, shops, food court, or departure lounges—contact the airport’s Lost Property Office.

Items Left Onboard the Aircraft
If you believe you left your belongings on the plane, you’ll need to contact your airline directly. Airlines are responsible for all items lost onboard or in their lounges. Most have service desks or representatives at the airport.
Visit your airline’s baggage services counter, typically near baggage claim, or check their website for specific procedures.

How Best to File a Lost Property Report

You can report the loss in person at the Lost Property Office or by phone during their opening hours.
What Happens After Reporting?
If your item is found, the Lost Property team will contact you with instructions for pickup. You’ll need to present valid identification to retrieve it.
If you’ve already left Sydney, it may be possible to arrange delivery by courier, at your own cost.
Lost Luggage or Checked Baggage ?
Issues with checked luggage or lost suitcases must be handled directly with your airline or their ground handling partner. The airport’s Lost Property Office does not manage these cases.
Go to the airline’s service desk in the Arrivals Hall to report any baggage-related issue.
