Description of lost item(s) : Upon arrival to the Denpasar airport in Bali at 7.40pm on my return trip to Perth on 10.10.25, there were no lights inside the terminal at all. It was chaos, with people everywhere in the darkness and very little guidance. The lights in the terminal came on at about 8pm, but the check-in counters and all information boards were not working. I was standing near the Jetstar check-in area with hundreds of other people and there was a lot of movement and jostling of people and bags – and hundreds of people crowding the few staff that were around to get information. Suddenly I realised that my carry on case was missing from my side. I ran around looking for it everywhere, tried to tell members of the airport staff , but they were too busy with the hundreds of distraught passengers trying to get to their destinations. Then my flight was being checked in – I asked the airport staff every time I saw one about how I can find my bag – they said that they can't help me now as electricity is out and emergency lights are on only, and that I need to hurry to check in for my flight. After dropping my bag and checking in I continued to try to look around the area for my case, but I ended up having to rush through to customs and departure gate. I asked at the gate as well, but the lights kept going on and o and they were running around trying to get the check in system working so couldn't help me as well. I had to leave without my carry on. It had my laptop, my portable charger, my headphones, my change of clothes and shoes, some small toiletries and snacks inside that was for my ight.
