Description of lost item(s) : On Sunday, 02/08/26, my Delta flight (#DL295) landed at 1439 hours at Gate 145 in Terminal 3. I proceeded to Customs and ultimately my connecting flight in Terminal 1 to Okinawa. While in line at Customs, I left my black IPhone on the counter while filling out the Customs form. I went to Customs stand number 23 and when I approached the Customs Officer, realized I had left my phone at forms counter and asked to go back, but was not allowed to do so. After being processed by the Customs Officer, I found a Customer Service member in baggage area who attempted to locate my phone, but could not.
My wife, Whitney Stout, says it is showing still there at the airport using the phone app “Life 360.” She sent a text message to the phone asking for anyone who finds it, to please turn it in as found property.

Location of loss : Inside the Customs area for Terminal 3. Specifically, it was left on the counter where I was filling out the paper Customs form. I had already gone through the machine that scanned my passport and took my two index finger prints. After filling out my form, I went and stood in front of station number 23 for Customs. As I got to the counter and handed the Customs Officer my passport and form, I realized I had left my phone on the counter where the forms are. I asked to go back and get my phone but was not allowed. The Customs Officer directed me to a Customer Service desk. By the time they tried to go look for it, they could not locate my phone either due to looking in the wrong location or someone had already picked it up.
