Lost something at Oakland airport ? Whether it went missing in the terminal or on your way in from BART, here is how to report a lost item at Oakland airport.

About Oakland International Airport
Oakland International Airport (IATA : OAK) sits about 9 kilometres south of downtown Oakland, California, on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay. It works from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, joined by an inter-terminal walkway. The largest carrier by far is Southwest Airlines, which flies most services from Terminal 2, while Delta and other domestic carriers use Terminal 1.
Knowing which terminal you flew from makes a real difference to how quickly staff can search, since the two operate as separate halves of the airport.
Lost It on the Airport Connector ?
Oakland reaches the BART regional rail network through the Oakland Airport Connector, an automated people mover that runs between the terminals and the Coliseum BART station. It is quick and convenient, but it is also a place where belongings get left, since passengers board and step off with luggage in hand. If your item went missing on the Connector or at the BART station rather than in the terminal, that is handled by the transit operator, so raise it with them as well as filing your airport report.
Reporting a Lost Item at Oakland Airport
The lost and found is on the second floor of Terminal 1, at the Badges and Permit Office. Speak to staff there while you are at the airport, or open a report by phone or through our platform afterwards, naming the terminal and describing the item.

Left it in your seat rather than the terminal ? That falls to the airline. Pass your carrier the flight number and seat so the cabin can be checked.
