Good morning,

As I previously stated at your offices on September 3rd and on the official Lisbon Airport Lost and Found website, I am attaching that same statement here.

I left behind a small blue case containing valuables—gold and silver jewelry, pearls, etc.—which had been under my seat. Upon landing, I disembarked with my three young children and forgot the case on the plane. Just ten minutes or so later, while at passport control, I realized I had left the case behind. I immediately ran back to try and re-board, but security denied me access and directed me to the TAP office. At the TAP office, I was referred to Menzies Aviation, where I filled out a form. They told me to return the following day (Friday, September 4th), but that was impossible as I was scheduled to fly to Milan with my three children that same day, September 3rd, at 12:40 PM. The agent then asked me to come back in about an hour, giving them time to make inquiries and see if the case had been found. I returned at 10:35 AM as requested, but the lady I spoke to said it had not yet been found.

Given that I could not wait any longer—as my flight to Milan was at 12:40 PM—I went to the airport police and filed an official report.

The item must surely be found, considering I left it under my seat (seat 15D).

I strongly urge you to check the security camera footage to locate the case, in the event that the staff did not turn it in to the proper location. It is impossible that it hasn’t been found, given that I left it inside the plane.

I intend to do everything necessary to recover my jewelry, which includes items that are very important to me as well as some meant for my children.

I am confident that TAP will take the necessary steps to return my small suitcase to me.
