About BC Place

BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, is Canada’s largest stadium and the home of Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the CFL’s BC Lions. Originally opened in 1983 and significantly renovated in 2011 with the addition of a retractable roof, the stadium has a capacity of approximately 54,500. It is located in the False Creek area of downtown Vancouver, within walking distance of the city centre and well connected by SkyTrain and bus transit.

Vancouver was selected as one of the Canadian host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which marks Canada’s first time hosting World Cup matches. BC Place will host group-stage and knockout-round fixtures during the tournament. Vancouver’s diverse, internationally-oriented population and its position as a Pacific gateway ensure a significant volume of international visitors throughout June and July 2026. For lost property inquiries, contact the venue directly as office hours may vary.

How to Report a Lost Item at BC Place ?

When filing your report, include the date and time of the match or event you attended, your seating section or the area of the stadium where the item was last seen, a full description of the item including colour, brand, and any identifying features, and your contact details. If you were part of a group, note the names of others who were with you.

Lost Property During FIFA World Cup 2026 Matches

During FIFA World Cup 2026 match days, BC Place will operate an additional on-site lost and found service within the venue, staffed to handle the elevated volume of reports generated by international crowds. This temporary service supplements the regular lost property office. Visitors are strongly encouraged to report missing items before leaving the stadium, as items left at large-scale events are typically held for a limited window often 30 days or less before being transferred or disposed of in line with venue policy.

Tips to Efficiently Report a Lost Item

  • Report as soon as you notice the item is missing do not wait until after the match
  • Note your seat number or section, and the nearest food or access point to where you were sitting
  • Describe the item precisely: type, colour, brand, model, size, and any unique markings
  • If the item is electronic, note the make, model, and whether it has a protective case
  • Include a contact number and email address so staff can reach you quickly
