Lost an item on an Atlanta bus ? It’s easy to forget something on public transportation. If it’s any comfort, know that you’re not alone, as it’s one of the most common places where people lose their personal items (over 400,000 items are lost in public transportation every year).
Here’s a comprehensive guide to reporting and recovering lost items from Atlanta’s public bus system.

What to Do If You Left Something on a MARTA Bus
MARTA’s extensive bus network serves metro Atlanta with dozens of routes transporting thousands of riders daily. With such heavy usage, personal belongings are understandably left behind. MARTA has established a centralized Lost and Found system specifically to help passengers reclaim their property.
Everything from backpacks to tablets gets turned in to MARTA’s Lost and Found from buses throughout the Atlanta area each day.
