About Murtala Muhammed International Airport

Murtala Muhammed International Airport (IATA code : LOS) is the main airport for Lagos, Nigeria, about 22 kilometres northwest of the city. It has an international terminal, known as MMA2, and a separate domestic terminal, MMA1, roughly a kilometre apart and linked by road. The international terminal is served by British Airways, Air France, Turkish Airlines and other long-haul carriers, while the domestic terminal handles Nigeria’s largest domestic operators.

The airport is connected to Lagos by road, with travel times into the city varying enormously with traffic.

MMA1 or MMA2 ?

The most important detail here is which terminal you used, since the two are physically separate buildings about a kilometre apart. MMA2 handles international flights, so if you arrived from abroad that is almost certainly where you were; MMA1 handles domestic routes. A report aimed at the wrong terminal will not reach your item, and the two are far enough apart that staff cannot simply walk between them. Confirm the terminal first, and if your trip involved both, note where you last definitely had the item.
