About Wingo

Wingo (P5) is a Colombian low-cost carrier founded in 2016 as a subsidiary of Copa Airlines, one of the most respected carriers in Latin America. Operating from El Dorado International Airport in Bogota, Wingo offers budget fares on routes across Colombia and to Caribbean destinations including Cuba, Panama, Peru, Ecuador, and Costa Rica. The airline operates a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft and targets price-conscious travellers looking for affordable connections within the region.

Wingo’s focus on budget travel means that passengers often move through boarding and disembarkation quickly. On short-haul routes between Colombian cities and Caribbean islands, items such as phones, headphones, chargers, and personal accessories are sometimes left behind in seat pockets or overhead lockers. Wingo’s customer service team can assist with lost property inquiries.

What to Do If You’ve Lost Something with Wingo

Contact Wingo’s customer service team as soon as you notice the loss. Provide your booking reference, flight number, travel date, and seat number, along with a description of the item. Wingo’s team will attempt to coordinate with handling staff at the relevant airport to initiate a search.

You can also submit a report through our platform, so that our team can contact and follow up with the lost property office(s) on your behalf.

Items Lost on Board vs. at the Airport

Items left on the Wingo aircraft should be reported to Wingo. Items lost in the terminal at El Dorado International Airport in Bogota or at any other airport in Wingo’s network should be directed to that airport’s own lost property service. For losses at Havana, San Jose, or other Caribbean destinations, contact the local airport in addition to Wingo.

Tips to Efficiently Report a Lost Item

  • Report as quickly as possible, as budget carriers typically have tight aircraft turnaround schedules
  • Have your Wingo booking reference and seat number ready when contacting customer service
  • Describe the item in detail, including brand, colour, model, and any unique identifiers
  • If you believe the item was left at the departure airport rather than on the aircraft, contact that airport’s information desk
  • Follow up with Wingo if you do not receive a response within 48 hours of filing your report
